In October 2023, the government announced that the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) fee would be increasing. The Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2024 was then passed into legislation on 16 January 2024. There will be a 66% increase in the fee, which will be in effect for all applications made on or after 6 February 2024. Failure to pay this fee will result in your application possibly becoming rejected or invalid.
What is the IHS?
Most visa applications require the IHS. Payment of the fee will allow visa holders access to the NHS and NHS services through the duration of their visa.
