Who can apply?

You may apply for indefinite leave to remain if you are a skilled worker, long-time UK resident, or partner/family member of a person settled in the UK.

Requirements

To be granted ILR, you must:

have lived lawfully in the UK
fulfil the English language requirement and pass the Life in the UK test
fulfil the minimum salary requirement
not have been absent for more than 6 months in a 12-monthsperiod
not fall for refusal under the General Grounds for Refusal

How long does it take to reach a decision?

It will usually take approximately 5 months for your ILR application to be processed. Once a decision has been made, you will generally receive your biometric residence permit (BRP) within 7-10 days.
